Theextraordinary men's watch PRIM Kupka was originally created in a limited edition on the occasion of an exhibition of the works of the world-famous Czech painter and graphic artist František Kupka. In honour of this important artist, a unique dial design was created, inspired by Kupka's work. Its design was created by Jiří Lammel , an outstanding graphic designer and co-owner of the Kupka's collection of graphic sheets. The watch was extremely popular with our customers, which is why an open edition was later created.
Product detailed description
Theoriginal dial breaks away from watchmaking conventions. Its fine lines are harmoniously complemented by Kupek's signature, asymmetrically placed at the junction of the axis of the hour hands and the date window. The overall graphic balance is completed by the hands blue-veined and the unusual placement of the PRIM Automatic logo on the perimeter of the second quadrant of the dial.
Thewatch belongs to the PRIM Automatic series and is equipped with a high-quality Swiss movement ETA 2824-2 with automatic winding. The other components of the watch, such as the case, crown, hands or dial, were manufactured in the New Town manufactory. The models of this seriesbear the designation PRIM AUTOMATIC. This designation is based on the history of ELTON - the classic PRIM logo, created in 1969 by the designer Josef Žid, is complemented by the inscription AUTOMATIC in the form used since 1978 on watches with a modified automatic calibre. PRIM Kupka 40 A watches are produced with a polished stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and cowhide strap. The glass caseback offers a view of the mechanical movement.
